Electronics technician (CFC)

The job of electronics technician focuses on various technical areas related to the field of electronics. Electronics technicians work mainly with technicians and engineers. Their main activities are studying and implementing projects, manufacturing, testing, commissioning and maintenance.

It is a demanding job and requires:Electro

  • very good grades in mathematics, French and physics
  • team spirit and the ability to work independently
  • very precise and meticulous working methods
  • perseverance, curiosity and reliability
  • manual dexterity
  • a taste for physics and computer science

The training alternates between practical work (3-4 days/week) at CERN and theory (1-2 days/week) at the vocational school.
At the end of the training, a Swiss Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (CFC) is obtained. It is also possible to obtain a Professional Maturity qualification during the apprenticeship (provided that the requisite conditions are met).
