The recruitment of technical apprentices at CERN is carried out in collaboration with the CEP-UIG vocational training centre.

Candidates must submit an application and sit aptitude tests.

Registration for the tests opens in December for the following academic year.

Requirements (minimum)

• Aged between 15 and 19 at the start of the apprenticeship
• Completed compulsory schooling (3rd grade in France / 11th grade in Geneva)
• Very good knowledge of French (C1 level) to be able to follow the teaching in this language
• For residents in Switzerland: be a Swiss national or hold a residence permit
• For residents in the border area of neighbouring France: be a national of one of the CERN Member States^*

^* Two or three places are opened for candidates residing in CERN's non-Host Member States (Host States: France and Switzerland).
